Bachelor of Accounting with Honours at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is an industry-oriented accounting programme that integrates strong accounting knowledge with practical workplace experience through Work-Based Learning (WBL). Students develop competencies in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, management accounting, accounting information systems, analytics, and emerging digital technologies, while gaining meaningful exposure to real-world industry practices. Designed with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) principles and aligned with contemporary developments in Malaysian accounting education, the programme prepares graduates to become competent, ethical, digitally skilled, and industry-ready accounting professionals.
The Bachelor of Accounting with Honours is a 3½-year undergraduate programme designed to develop future-ready accounting professionals equipped with strong technical knowledge, digital competencies, ethical values, and practical industry experience. The curriculum is developed in accordance with the Programme Standards: Accounting and the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF), while responding to contemporary developments and industry expectations in the accounting profession. It integrates key areas such as accounting analytics, digital technologies, sustainability, governance, and professional ethics.
A distinctive feature of the programme is its TVET-oriented 2½U1I study model, which integrates university-based education with substantial industry exposure. Students undertake 2½ years of academic study at the University, followed by one year of industry-based learning incorporating Work-Based Learning (WBL) and Industrial Training. This integrated approach provides opportunities for students to apply accounting knowledge in authentic workplace settings while strengthening technical competencies, communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and professional confidence. This structure is consistent with the programme's approved Industrial Mode (2½U1I).

STPM Graduates
Fulfil the general requirement of the University and obtained at least Grade C (NGPM 2.0) at STPM level in any one (1) of the following subjects:

Obtained at least credit (Grade C) in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level in the following subjects:
i) English, and
ii) One (1) of the following subjects:
Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Studies, Mechanical Engineering Studies, Electrical & Electronic Engineering Studies, Accounting Principles, Basic Economics, Trade, Entrepreneurship Studies and Business Accounting.

Obtained at least Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysia University English Test (MUET) according to the validity period from January 2016.
